1 Our Story
Banh Mi Station was founded by Tom Xu, a restaurateur whose roots in the kitchen run deep. Tom's family has been part of the local food scene for years — first through King's Land Seafood Restaurant, a beloved dim sum and Cantonese institution, and later with the Little Bakery House, where the craft of fresh-baked bread became a daily ritual.
It was that bakery experience — the early mornings, the smell of baguettes coming out of the oven, the obsession with getting the crust just right — that planted the seed for something new. Tom saw how a great loaf of bread could anchor an entire meal, and he wanted to build a place around it.
"Great bread is the foundation. Everything else is built on top of it."
That vision became Bánh Mì Station: a focused, fast, and friendly café dedicated to the Vietnamese sandwich and the rice plates and drinks that round out the table. It's a natural expansion of the family's story — bringing together the hospitality of a restaurant and the craft of a bakery into one bright, welcoming counter in South Denver.
